A petling's coat sets its rarity. Natural coats are the everyday ones; rare and legendary coats have their own patterns. Every coat you own, even for a moment, stays in your in-game album for good.

Hatching odds

The rarity is rolled first, then a coat of that rarity. Eyes, marks and the hidden extras roll on their own, so a natural coat can still come with starry eyes.

Every petling gets one at random (each is equally likely). It shows a day after hatching, the next time you care for it, and it gives a bonus for good.

New stickers in your album pay essence (20 / 60 / 200 for a natural, rare or legendary coat, 10 / 30 / 100 for other looks), and finished sets earn honours. Essence buys coat tickets in the Nest (150 / 500 / 1600).
